Planiform is extremely grateful and proud to have completed the installation of the biggest garment conveyor project ever seen in the world! This project has been installed at one of our customer’s distribution centers located in Pennsylvania. They are an e-commerce company that sells a phenomenal number of garments online.

This tremendous project consists, among other things, of 285 long automated garment conveyors. These conveyors are installed on a 3-level self-standing system with a 2-level catwalk in the center, where the customer can store up to 2 million garments on hanger in their warehouse. Planiform also provided a sophisticated computerized system that controls all the conveyors, allowing it to be fully automated which permits optimizing the storage and retrieval of their garments. The system reaches peaks of more than 50,000 units picked and shipped per day.

This innovative turn-key project is also being installed in another distribution center for this client and is planned to be finalized in May 2019. The system also takes into consideration the expected future order growth and is designed to fulfill the increasing volume of picking e-commerce orders.
