Planiform is pleased to announce their selection as the supplier for a modern semi-automated laundry transportation conveyor system. This project will be for the CHU of Quebec’s new mega hospital’s laundry, Partagec.

We will be helping this hospital complex to provide the staff with clean and sanitary linens, allowing them to efficiently provide the best care possible.

This nigh $1 million project consists of a complex system of over 30 computer-controlled conveyors. It has three overall parts: a pressurized transportation area for green linen, helping to ensure that the items remain sufficiently sanitary for surgery; a standard transportation conveyor to allow picking by staff; and a collecting transportation conveyor.

The system contains various industrial computers, control panels and sensors to allow communication with other processing equipment in the plant. The overall automation aspect will be designed and programmed entirely by our in-house automation engineering team.
