New Hospital Project for Planiform
July 9th, 2018
Planiform announces the beginning of a new automated conveyor project helping Quebec hospitals to be their best. This $1.4 M project will be for a highly complex, automated sorting belt conveyor system consisting of over 60 individual motorized conveyors.
This system uses a barcode print and apply system followed by barcode readers to track and sort cleaned, folded and bagged hospital linen for the Integrated Health and Social Services Center in the Lanaudiere, QC, Canada region. This system will allow the staff to quickly load linen and clothes and deliver them where they are needed, allowing for the hospital to run their operations without interruption.
The system functions on the “just-in-time” principle, with a buffer of only 2 hours to ensure the proper function of the facility. Our team fully understands that our automated systems cannot afford delayed deliveries of linen and clothes as risking the comfort and needs of the patients would be unacceptable.
We look forward to pleasing this client and doing our part to ensure the smooth running of medical organisations. Stay tuned for further updates.
