Under the supervision of our Sales Director, we are currently looking for a Draftsperson to join our Terrebonne team. We're in the midst of tremendous growth and have over 70 fantastic employees!

Planiform was founded over 50 years ago. We design, manufacture and install automated conveyor systems for distribution centers, retail stores and industrial laundries. Our conveyor systems are often tailor-made to our customers' needs. Although Planiform's sales are mainly in the USA and Canada, we also have customers all over the world.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Produce 2D and 3D sales drawings using the Autodesk suite, Autocad and Inventor
  • Understand customer needs in coordination with the sales team
  • Participate in pre-engineering brainstorming with sales team
  • Prepare documentation for quotations
  • Visit local customers for measurements (sometimes)
  • Confirm customer orders and carry out production follow-ups

What we're looking for:

  • Mechanical engineering technique
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team and customers
  • Bilingual, English and French, to be able to communicate with internal and external suppliers and customers located outside Quebec
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Passionate and innovative
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical control components (an asset)
  • Valid driver's license
  • A good-natured person!
